A long-dormant Tahoe landmark could come back under one of the trendiest names in hospitality.

The Hollywood Reporter on Friday reported the shuttered Cal Neva Lodge and Casino will eventually reopen under the Nobu Hospitality Group brand.

The Cal Neva, decades removed from its heyday as a getaway for stars such as Frank Sinatra and Marilyn Monroe, has been closed since 2013.

In 2018, Oracle founder and billionaire Larry Ellison acquired the Crystal Bay property and embarked on a renovation.

Bringing Nobu on board could help boost the project by using the trendy Nobu name to drag the Cal Neva’s image out of the 20th century.
